2-Piece performance rotors

The primary purpose of 2-piece rotors is to reduce unsprung and overall vehicle weight. This is accomplished by using two-piece disc construction. The 2-piece design also allows for independent expansion of the rotor and hat without coning. The secondary purpose is to increase the ventilation and cooling capacity of the brake disc. Better airflow means better cooling and less fade. 2-Piece performance rotors are often used on high performance street cars, super cars and exotics both on and off the track.
